Maycomb and The Great Depression

I related this book to the Great Depression because it was written about a young girl's life during the Great Depression. This book relates to the topic of the Great Depression because the setting of the story takes place in a moderate town called Maycomb. The people in Maycomb were so poor in the Great Depression that most of the farmers had to pay lawyers and other people in crops that they grew. It was also very rare to come across nickels and dimes in this time era because the town was so poor. People started to lose their jobs and money so they had nowhere to live and that's why the farmers of the town had to pay other people in their crops instead of money because they had none.
